About Jonas A. Vanags, MD

Dr. Jonas Vanags received his undergraduate degree from the University of Georgia and got his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia. He did an internship in internal medical at Duke University Medical Center, as well as a residency in neurology and a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine, also at Duke University Medical Center. Dr. Vanags is board certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is a member of the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine and the American Academy of Neurology. Dr. Vanags has specialized training in the diagnosis and treatment of neuromuscular disorders including muscular dystrophies, inflammatory myopathies, motor neuron disease and nerve muscle junctions.
