About Jeffrey S. Mandel, MD

Dr. Jeffrey Mandel received a bachelor's degree from the University of Pennsylvania and a doctor of medicine degree from the University of Virginia. His postgraduate training and medical research was done at the Medical University of South Carolina, including a year as administrative chief resident. After that he served as assistant professor in clinical surgery and as laparoscopic fellow at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons in New York City. Dr. Jeffrey Mandel is currently a partner at SouthCoast Health - Surgery and sees patients at St. Joseph's/Candler; prior to that he was an associate at Alexandria Surgery, Ltd. He is board certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Mandel is a member of the American Medical Association, American College of Surgeons, Georgia Medical Society, Georgia Society of General Surgeons, Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons, Society of Laparoendoscopic Surgeons and Southeastern Surgical Congress.
